| LODGING UPDATE Total destination occupancy over the next two weeks is 10% ahead YOY at 50%, and Average Daily Rate (ADR) has increased by 8%. Occupancy peaks next weekend, with Saturday, September 27 currently at 64%. The summer season (May 22 – Oct 19) is currently running flat to last summer in occupancy, and ADRs are pacing 2% behind. May, June, and July were a bit slower YOY, closing flat to behind, while the remaining months are pacing slightly ahead. Looking ahead to winter, destination total occupancy is pacing 10% higher YOY from December 1 – April 5, while ADR is tracking 7% lower. All months are pacing ahead in occupancy, although we have lost some traction over the past few weeks. At three months out, it’s important to note that numbers are small and can shift at any time as the winter season approaches.    |
| AIR UPDATE Summer bookings have been holding week-to-week, and overall air traffic for the season continues to run even to down a point or two, while up 12% YO2. August slowed and finished down 4-5%, while the final week saw a boost with the new event. September is now up 2%, and October flat to just down YTD, while daily traffic stays busy through the month (Weekly and Daily graphs below).The Colorado Flights Alliance is pleased to announce another addition, with flights on Southwest from Nashville on Saturdays in March. Nashville is one of their key hubs, and they have been flying it successfully to Steamboat. Winter base schedules are live, with the final schedules coming soon.TEX Airport will be closing from October 6 – 10 for apron and runway construction.
