WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK
Whew, what another gorgeous week in the San Juans! We’ve been getting some much-needed moisture and the wildflowers are still looking great in the high country. Get out there and enjoy the sweet summertime!
Top Chef is tomorrow and tickets typically sell out, so get yours before they’re gone! The chefs this year are Graeme Charles and Matt Hislop, and all funds raised go to One to One Mentoring. More information can be found here.
Telluride’s live music scene rolls on this week with the Telluride Jazz Festival all weekend long! Be sure to catch Dumpstaphunk, George Porter Jr., Leo Nocentelli, Christian McBride and so many more in Town Park. Plus, don’t miss the New Orleans 2nd Line Parade on Main Street at 12 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are still available.
It’s the final countdown for the Sunset Music Series, with Diggin Dirt tonight and the last performance of the season is next Wednesday with Nosotros at Sunset Plaza. Additionally, enjoy performances by Cousin Curtiss at Music on the Green on Friday, Jamestown Revival at Club Red on Friday and Saturday, Jazz Brunch on Sunday at Altezza at The Peaks, and Chamber Music Happy Hour with Travis Fisher, Danny D’Alessandro and Annie Foxen at Telluride Arts HQ on Tuesday.
The Telluride Historical Museum has great events this week, including their usual Historic Walking Tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Cruise (and hike!) into history in Ophir on Saturday, and free museum admission on Saturday for Senior Mahoney Day.
Other notable events include the weekly farmers’ markets (Telluride on Fridays and Mountain Village on Wednesdays), the LAST Movies Under the Stars of the season on Saturday with a showing of “Homeward Bound”, and the Telluride Mushroom Festival kicks off next Thursday.
