Every June, Telluride’s iconic box canyon transforms into a musical sanctuary—four days where harmonies echo off the cliffs, festivarians dance barefoot on summer grass, and world-renowned artists bring an unmistakable magic to Town Park. And while the 2026 Telluride Bluegrass Festival lineup is still under wraps, one thing is certain: the countdown starts now.

Local residents and workers will once again receive early access to tickets on Tuesday, December 2, a cherished tradition that strengthens the community spirit woven into this legendary festival. As always, Mountain Rose Realty celebrates the cultural heartbeat of our home—because part of the luxury of living in Telluride is belonging to a community that values art, music, and togetherness as much as it values mountain living.

🎶 The Return of a Beloved Tradition

According to reporting by Owen Perkins of Telluride News, Telluride Bluegrass Festival tickets for the general public go on sale Thursday, December 11. But locals get first pick during the one-day Solstice Special sale on December 2, offering discounted pricing and a built-in donation to local radio favorite KOTO-FM.

In true Telluride fashion, this early sale is about more than tickets—it’s about community, gratitude, and honoring traditions that have shaped generations.

One tradition that definitely continues? Sam Bush returning for his 52nd consecutive year. As Planet Bluegrass Vice President Zach Tucker confirmed, “I’m willing to confirm that one now.” Sam Bush—arguably the soul of Bluegrass—is returning once again, to absolutely no one’s surprise and everyone’s delight.
