LODGING UPDATE

Total destination occupancy over the next two weeks is 6% higher than the same period in 2023 at 48%, paid occupancy is up 5%, and average daily rate (ADR) is down by 5% at $380. Occupancy peaks at 66% this Saturday, September 28. 
 
September metrics continue to pace behind 2023, although the gap is smaller than in previous reports. Total occupancy is pacing to close 8% lower than 2023, paid occupancy is 13% behind, and ADR is 8% lower YOY. October is pacing 3% ahead in total occupancy, and 2% behind in paid occupancy. 
 
The winter forecast is similar to previous reports, with total occupancy pacing 15% ahead of last season, a 9% increase in paid occupancy, and a 1% decrease in ADR. All months are tracking ahead, with the most growth in March (24% ahead), and the least growth in December (8% ahead). Stay tuned for weekly Peak Sheet updates, as these metrics can shift quickly as the winter season approaches. 

AIR UPDATE

Late summer bookings continue to hold strong, with September now 5-7% up and October back to even/just ahead YOY. Summer overall is up 10-12%, with noted added local usage on increased DEN capacity. The winter 24-25 air schedule is all but finalized, with capacities nearly identical to last winter 23-24. We are excited to welcome the recently announced Breeze flights between MTJ and SNA/Orange County, book now at FlyBreeze.com. Additional changes within the winter lineup, as well as maps and schedules, will be updated on the Colorado Flights Alliance site HERE later this week.
