Telluride Air and Logding Update (August 25 – 31)

LODGING UPDATE

The next few weeks are pacing 15% ahead of 2022 for total occupancy (paid & owner), with increases mostly concentrated on Telluride Film Festival weekend. Average daily rate (ADR) has decreased by 3% YOY. Film Festival weekend is pacing 15% ahead of 2022, currently at 73% total occupancy, and ADR is 1% lower at $938. 
 
Total destination occupancy actuals, from May 25 – August 23, are 2% lower than 2022 and ADR has decreased by 7%. Mountain Village stays increased by 9% YOY, and Telluride total occupancy has decreased by 17%. For the remainder of the summer/fall season, total destination occupancy is pacing 5% ahead of 2022, currently at 40%, and ADR is 2% ahead YOY. Mountain Village is pacing 15% ahead YOY, and Telluride is pacing 9% behind 2022. 
 
Looking ahead at winter pace, destination total occupancy has increased by 6%, currently at 20%. Total occupancy in Mountain Village properties is pacing 16% ahead of last year at 22%, and Town of Telluride occupancy is pacing 12% behind YOY at 16%. 
 

AIR UPDATE

Summer bookings have continued to level off to yearly averages over the last several weeks, with summer still pacing up about 10% overall. While July and August finished up around 15%, due in large part to late fill from sustained high heat in our core markets, September and October are currently pacing flat YOY. The winter schedule is going through final adjustments, and very early bookings are fairly soft at this stage.
