WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK
We don’t want to sound like a broken record, but rain dances, please! We’d love to get some moisture before the fall leaves start to change in just a few short weeks. But before we get ahead of ourselves… Check out what we have going on this week to close out summer before Labor Day!
We’re excited for this weekend’s first-ever Camp Alderwild in Town Park with Of The Trees, Jade Cicada, TYCHO, Ott. and so many more. Camping is sold out, but single-day, two-day and VIP passes are still available. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes and don’t forget about the aftershows!
Other music around town this week includes the last Sunset Concert Series next Wednesday with Easy Jim, a Telluride Community Concert with Danny DeSantis, Steve White and Travis Fisher tomorrow at the Telluride Science & Innovation Center, the Oak Street Park Summershow Series with League of Sound Disciples tomorrow outside the SHOW Bar, and Music on the Green with Dori Freeman plus Lily Akers at the Telluride Farmers’ Market on Friday.
There are some amazing local events for good causes this week, starting with the Telluride Historical Museum’s Dinner Party on Thursday, a Blood Drive and One to One Mentor Mingle on Tuesday, and a party to celebrate Sheep Mountain Alliance’s 37th birthday on Wednesday at the Ah Haa School for the Arts.
Other notable events worth checking out include Hike Into History and the Telluride Mountain Run on Saturday, An Evening With Ken Burns on Sunday, Historic Walking Tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Market on the Plaza on Wednesdays and Telluride Farmers’ Market on Friday.
