After a nice little refresh of snow this week, the sunshine is back. We are loving all of the festive lights and cheer around town – Bring on the holidays!
We are looking forward to bringing the festive cheer to Mountain Village at the Holiday Prelude this weekend! This year’s edition will feature photos with Santa, train rides, caroling, a scavenger hunt, and free ice skating.
In addition to the Holiday Prelude, there are plenty of other festive events around town to enjoy this week. Theater aficionados will enjoy the opening weekend of Ski Bum: The Musical at the Sheridan Opera House, the Telluride Choral Society’s annual WinterSing concert on Friday and Sunday at Christ Church, and a production of The Nutcracker at the Michael D. Palm Theatre on Saturday and Sunday. You can also get into the holiday spirit with a holiday gingerbread and wreath making workshop at Fig & Bloom Friday through Sunday, and by visiting Wood Ear‘s new holiday pop-up bar, the Canopy Cocktail Christmas Club, starting December 13.
The Alibi has a great slate of music this week, including Grant Sabin on Friday, Strangers From Afar on Saturday, and Squeaky Feet on Sunday.
Other notable events include a backcountry gear swap this Saturday at Jagged Edge, and a free wine tasting on Wednesday at the Mountain Village Wine Merchant.

Telluride truly shines this week with an array of events for every interest. Whether you’re enjoying the festivities, indulging in live performances, or making cherished memories with family, the magic of this mountain town is undeniable.
