WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK
…Have you seen the wildflowers lately?! They’re absolutely stunning thanks to monsoon season, which has rolled in with some heavy afternoon rains. Be sure to check road conditions and the weather before heading out to explore – We’ve had some substantial mudslides and weather in the last few days. We have another full slate of live music this week, starting with Easy Jim tonight at the Sunset Music Series (catch Anna Moss and the Nightshades next week), a free patio show at the SHOW Bar tomorrow with Tyler Simmons, Music on the Green on Friday with the Grant Sabin Trio, Tarantula Bill at The Alibi and the Devon Gilfillian Duo at Club Red on Saturday, Western Medicine at the Sheridan Opera House on Sunday, and The Charities on Tuesday at The Alibi. Plus, don’t miss the Telluride Americana Music Festival on Friday and Saturday with Radney Foster, Jack Ingram, Ray Wylie Hubbard and more at the Sheridan Opera House. Other notable events include the Ah Haa’s HAHA, an immersive art event at the Ah Haa School for the Arts Friday through Sunday, Telluride Theatre’s production of “Twelfth Night” for Shakespeare in the Park July 20 – 28, An Evening With Jad Abumrad at the Michael D. Palm Theatre, and the Telluride Baseball Festival all next week. Plus, the movie for this Saturday’s Movies Under the Stars is “Kung Fu Panda 4”. We’re also thrilled to check out the opening of the Telluride Science and Innovation Center at the Depot – and wish Telluride Science a happy 40th birthday! The public is welcome to check it out starting at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. There are so many other great events on the calendar this week! View more events on the Peak Sheet or our calendar of events.
