WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK

What a week! From Selena Gomez appearances to beautiful alpenglows, we’ve been soaking in the warm summer days and festivities before the trees start to change. If you look closely, there are definitely a few leaves transitioning into fall already!
Film Fest isn’t over yet! If you missed your chance at catching some of the movies, be sure to head up to After Telluride Film Fest through with two nightly showings of different movies at the Telluride Conference Center through Friday. Click here for the full schedule.
Say goodbye to Music on the Green! JD Clayton will be performing at Reflection Plaza for the final concert of the summer on Friday. Other free shows include Kevin Hauze at the Telluride Farmers’ Market on Friday, Desert Hollow at the SHOW Bar Patio on Saturday, and Birds of Play at Elks Park for the Augment Music Series on Tuesday. The Alibi has has music all week long, starting with Mulch Cult & Shwarma tomorrow, Still Nice on Friday, Dave Jordan on Saturday and Desert Hollow on Tuesday.
If you’re into food and wine, there are plenty of events to partake in this week. Top Chef Eliza Gavin is back with a Food & Wine Pairing Class on Friday at 221 South Oak, The Madeline will be hosting an immersive dinner on Saturday with David and Shana Levinson, Communion’s Summer Dinner Series continues on Sunday with a pre-fall harvest bounty meal, Altezza at The Peaks has a summer wine tasting with Terlato Wines International on Tuesday, and the Mountain Village Wine Merchant continues their free wine tastings on Wednesdays. Cheers to that!
Other great events this week include the Telluride Art Walk tomorrow, weekly Lone Tree Cemetery Tours start on Friday, Bear It! will be taking over the Sheridan Opera House on Friday, and the last Hike Into History will take place this Saturday on the Eider/Mill Creek Connector. Be sure to get your local produce at the Market on the Plaza (next Wednesday is the LAST one!) and the Telluride Farmers’ Market on Friday.
PSA: Imogene Pass will likely be closed for the remainder of the season due to an extensive washout damage to a retaining wall. The closure also includes Tomboy Road.
